Miftah Ismail has been removed from PML-N party as a Finance Minister

The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) made an important decision on Monday, removing former finance minister Miftah Ismail from the party. PML-N’s Chief Organizer, Maryam Nawaz, expressed her disappointment with the performance of both Miftah Ismail and Shah Muhammad Shah, who were subsequently expelled from the party.

In a bid to reorganize their efforts in Sindh, Maryam Nawaz announced that Shah Muhammad Shah, the provincial president, and Miftah Ismail, the general secretary, would be relieved of their positions. Reports in local media suggested that Miftah Ismail would not be given any significant party role in the future, according to sources within the PML-N.

Miftah Ismail has recently been vocal about his disagreements with the party leadership and policies after being removed from his position as the Finance Minister. In a recent statement, he referred to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s comments, without mentioning any names, where Shehbaz Sharif stated that those criticizing the current Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, have no place in the party. Miftah Ismail has been an open critic of Ishaq Dar’s policies.

This development highlights the internal dynamics within the PML-N and the differing opinions on crucial matters. As the party undergoes changes and reorganization, it remains to be seen how these shifts will impact its future direction and political landscape.
